Lapis of Nicodem is a fantasy serial novel I’ve been working on for a little while now. The first two chapters of LoN are up at World Anvil! I also created an accompanying site, where you can find out more about the characters and Lapis’s world. I wanted something up, because I’ve entered the World Anvil Alliances Challenge, and I wanted more than a single page for readers to enjoy.
I initially created Lapis and her world in high school. Both have gone through many, many changes since.
Many, many changes.
I decided, rather than publishing an entire book, I would make chapter installments. I’m also not illustrating every chapter, unlike The Wellspring Dragons series (available on Kindle and epub formats!). I’m publishing with World Anvil’s new Manuscripts. It’s a straight-forward text editor that easily transitions to a manuscript for followers to read. While I am not a huge fan of having a scene break image being a separate ‘scene’ (yes, I want in-line images), the output otherwise looks great. And you can use Manuscripts for comics! I’m eventually going to do that, when I have time. (Ha!)
So check Lapis of Nicodem out! Read the first two chapters. You might even want to hop on over to The Wellspring Dragons site and do a bit of reading there as well! I’m working on Book 3, The Glass Volcano, and plan to have it out summer of 2021.
