Ambercaast Chapter 28 is Live!

Ambercaast Chapter 28: A Sequence of Unlucky Escapes is Live! And so is the Epilogue; yes, Ambercaast has drawn to a close. But never fear, Lapis and co continue their adventures in Knavish Canto, the first chapter of which will go live on Friday, May 13.

Lapis is certain things are drawing to a close at Ambercaast, but then Tovi finds one of Gedaavik’s secret labs.

Last week Evenacht: Snake’s Den debuted. It’s my new dark fantasy serial, which also runs at World Anvil.

Evenacht is one of the planet Sensour’s lands of the dead. The story takes place in the afterlife, and follows Vantra, a Finder, whose first choice of Condemned to Redeem goes horribly wrong. In fact, more than one entity wants Captain Laken returned to the Fields of the UnRedeemed, and they are willing to send her to the Final Death to accomplish that. Vantra must decide, how far she will go, to Redeem the UnRedeemed.

Ambercaast Chapter 25: Haunted by Ghost is Live!

Lapis and Brander are separated from Linz and Sanna by enemy fire and are forced to find a hiding spot–and the enemy, in turn, is obliterated by an unknown force. Ghost? If so, his attack injured Sanna, and he’s heading towards the pool–and Rin and Tovi. Lapis must race to rescue the teens from the enemy–and Hoyt and his shanks stand in her way.

Ambercaast has a few more chapters before it’s on to Book 3 in the Lapis of Nicodem serial! Keep an eye out for title/cover reveal!

Ambercaast Chapter 20: Quests and Questions is Live!

Lapis and Faelan acquire the scantest of info from Cile, but fortunately Linz and Jetta show up with documents from Danaea’s stash that might have clues as to where the mercs took Rin and Tovi. Lapis refuses to wait any longer to find the kidnapped teens.

Ambercaast Chapter 19 is Live!

Ambercaast Chapter 19: A Jaunty Forest Outing is Live! It’s not a “happy holiday” chapter, since Jilvayna is on a different festive schedule 🙂

Lapis volunteered to go with Cassa on her search for the terron lizard Badger and his advisors but did not expect to confront more khentauree. They find out Badger has agreed to help Gredy’s mercs, and what they’ve done will prompt Cassa and Lapis into more extreme actions concerning Ambercaast.

Ambercaast Chapter 18: Threats is live!

Has the destroyed khentauree emitted a distress signal? Are more machines coming to retrieve it? Lapis spots glints in the distant mountains, just like the cyan reflection produced by the sphere in the destroyed khentauree’s chest–and they’re headed towards the Mawai science station. The community needs to prepare, but a threat other than the khentauree looms. Gredy’s embarrassed rage causes him to threaten the terron population in the Depths–and now several members of the lizard community are missing.

**Fun fact: Khentauree is based off the Greek word for centuar, kéntauros.
